Alvaro Marin obtained his PhD in Sevilla in 2008 with a doctoral thesis on electrohydrodynamic atomization of liquids. After postdocs at the University of Twente and Munich, he joined the Physics of Fluids group in 2016 as a staff member with a starting Grant from the European Research Council to study the drying of particle-laden droplets.
